A MORNING RAIN

A MORNING RAIN

A morning rain is gently falling
Upon the fresh green leaves of spring
As birds are bathing in shallow puddles
And lifting their heads to sing.
Lightning flashes across the sky
In streaks of blue and white
While children gaze in awestruck wonder
At it's brilliant flashing light.
The sound of booming thunder
Seems to shake even th ground
And catches the attention
Of creatures all around.
The southern wind gently spins
A rusted weathervane,
And all the land is glistening
Within the morning rain.

ONLY LOVE

ONLY LOVE

Woe be to he
Who knows not love,
That gift that's sent
From up above.
A kiss, a fondle,
A sensual hug.
An evening spent
On a bearskin rug.
So open your heart
And then you'll see
That only love
Can set you free.

DANCE WITH ME

DANCE WITH ME

Come and dance with me my dear
And hold me all night long.
I could not live without your love,
Please help me make it strong.
The way we move across the floor
Makes everything seem right,
And you look so beautiful
Beneath the dance floor light.
I love the way the sweet, soft music
Helps the fire within me grow,
As you show me how you truly feel
While we're moving close and slow.
The way I feel about you, love
Is held within a song,
So come and dance with me my dear
And hold me all night long.

I LOVE YOU

I LOVE YOU

Like a beautiful, blooming, summer rose
Cherishes the place it grows
I cherish you.

As a violinist plays the strings
Enlightened by the sound it brings
You enlighten me.

As the wind lifts up a bird's small wings
Just to hear the song it sings
You uplift me.

No matter what I may go through
My heart will always be with you
I love you!

I LOVE YOU #2

I LOVE YOU #2

I am filled with endless joy,
Love for everything you do.
Only devotion fills my heart,
Very strong and always true.
Every moment I am awake
You are with me whatever I do,
Only read the first letters down
Understand that I love you.

SOUL'S LAMENT

SOUL'S LAMENT

Watching,
Waiting,
Breathing in the air of nervous anticipation,
Heavy and bitter upon a deadened tongue.
Hoping,
Praying,
Searching for faith taught in redemption
Fables born from a tortured mind called "Society".
Screaming,
Crying,
Calling out for life in the midst of Death's sadistic circus
While the organ drones the tears of a funeral dirge.

I WILL

I WILL

I'll make it through,
As I venture past the Great Facade
To find what is pure and true.
I'll survive,
To find the sweet serenity
That keeps a heart alive.
I'll endure,
And accept the guiltless faith
To let God be the cure.
I'll surrender,
And know that in his love
I am the gift, and He the lender.

SORROW'S MELODY

SORROW'S MELODY

What is all the bitterness worth,
When all that is real,
Anymore,
Is tears and broken-hearted memories?
Sure good to see you smile
But not even dreams now
Can shelter the truth.
Regrets,
Far too late.
Hopes, dreams, and happiness
Have long since faded from my eyes.
My ears ring with the music of the ages,
And inside,
The dirge plays on.

QUESTIONS

QUESTIONS

Does it bother you?
Does it ever sadden you?
Searching for shelter within the arms of
"Understanding Souls",
Does it ever frighten you when you look into their eyes
Only to see that they pity you
Almost as much
As you pity yourself?
Do you shudder when they look down to you,
Wolves,
Smiling at a lamb which strayed from the flock?
As you sigh,
Closing your eyes
To feel the hot breath upon your throat
Promising of such pain,
Is the suffering so sweet?

SOMETIMES

SOMETIMES

Sometimes,
What I've missed
Comes slicing through my mind.
A surgeons blade,
Choices I've made,
Realizations so unkind.
But I can't rewind,
Sometimes.
