Wild and haunting laughter
Echoes through my brain,
Clawing to my very soul;
Assuring that I'm insane.
Visions that I see at night
Telling what is true,
I lay in bed and start to plan;
I know what I must do.
For things are seen much differently
Through the glowing eyes of Death,
Now I lay in shadows dark
And wait to take life's breath.
A burst of strength and quickness
Is all the process takes,
And when the knife tears through the throat
Oh, what a sound it makes!
But here I sit in this padded cell
So clean and oh, so white,
ANd plot a way to find escape
Into the dark of night.
Searching deep inside my head
What do they hope to find?
The history of this broken man
Who slowly lost his mind!

Riding waves of information,
Tides swell as the engine runs.
Hope for a keyword crest,
Coasting to informative shores.
Riptides pull toward Get Rich oblivion,
Jellyfish ads block the path with "You've Won!!".
One touch irritates and delivers their sting,
Map your path to find the balance of truth.
Exhiliration of return, site and sound!
Then paddle out, to catch a wave again.

For it makes a sad child smile
As it takes away the stinging
Of a cut or scrape for awhile

And helps you to forget about sorrow
To give you some peace of mind
A mother's hug can comfort you
In times of fear or pain
And she dusts you off when you take a fall
And helps you to stand again
A mother will always be concerned

And she will do the best she can

When I think about my life
I thank the Lord above
For during the hard times of my life
I have had my mother's love.
